Position Title: Buying Clerk

Position Summary:
Provides support to Corporate Buyers by assisting them with the process of merchandising, selection and development, sales, analysis and vendor management.
Essential Functions:
Receives purchase orders from various buying departments.Confirms pricing with supplierCorrects pricing and/or weights on purchase ordersChanges delivery date as instructedReleases purchase ordersFaxes purchase orders to suppliersAssists with price out of different suppliers and deliveryWill assist with food safety recalls by completing paperwork such as checklist for recalled items and spreadsheets with required information for supplier and/or regulatory agencies.
Other Responsibilities:
Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s Degree, ORHigh School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years experience ORAny appropriate combination of education and experience.Effective oral and written communication skills.Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.Computer Literacy
Work Environment:
Average office environment, air-conditioned in the summer. Accessibility to computers, phone, fax, copiers etc. on premises.
