Apply now for the position of Buying Professional and you will be responsible for preparing the Request for Proposals, supplier scouting, compilation of quotations, supporting in negotiations and the quotation summary. 

Your role: 
You will be aligning closely with business on strategies, expectations and deliverables for projects through regular sales/strategy meetings. You will be supporting to roll out global commodity strategies to ensure maximum cost reduction is attained. You will be ensuring Purchase to Pay processes are well understood and observed for every activity carried out, and support to advise the business of the same. You will be preparing the negotiation strategy and conduct negotiations to obtain favourable outcome for the business with a balance in financial, delivery, quality and technical offering (increase win rate factor) You will be preparing the evaluation sheet and summarize quotation for decision making process. You will be documenting and monitoring the progress of savings measures and report on a monthly basis in productivity tool for transparency. You will be executing the Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification). You will be ensuring close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement. You will be providing supplier information to the project and conduct project-specific supplier evaluations (project evaluations). You will be having close communication with internally outsourced shared services such as indirect material and order processing units to ensure execution is meeting timelines.

Your expertise: 
Experienced buyer with minimum 8 years of experience in hands on procurement & contract negotiations (added advantage if in the Healthcare sector or experience in the hospital industry.). Candidates with mechanical engineering backgrounds will be valued. Tertiary education and certification in the area of Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred. Strong analytical skills to analyse spend data, conduct market research and translate the requirements from the key stakeholders into the strategy for negotiations in order to deliver a fair option for the business. Advanced negotiation skills: Prepare comprehensive strategy setting to drive positive outcomes. Strong experience/expertise valued in candidates who have experience in construction cost management/cost value engineering. Constructive problem solver: Resolve conflicts by finding a win win solution where possible. Purchase to Pay process: Solid understanding of correct buying, supplier management and documentations. Time management: Diligent in prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met, drive follow ups and escalate where necessary to ensure no compromises in project deliverables. Proficiency in MS Office tools and productivity reporting reports (standard procurement KPI expectations).
