Position Summary

The pharmacy technician is to service the needs of our patients by educating them on products and services’, listening to concerns/addressing issues, processing orders for pharmacy customers.

Essential TasksAbility to answer hi-volume in-bound calls via an automated phone system.Ability to make outbound calls to patients and referrals as necessary.Respond quickly and professionally to customer telephone questions and concerns.Gather Patient demographics and billing information as needed to complete requested orders.Process orders using Enterprise Rx.Resolve insurance denials with insurance companies.  Follow-up with patient.Maintain customer records by updating account.Establish and maintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients.Order, label, and count stock of medications, chemicals, and supplies, and enter inventory data into computer.Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.Counting, pouring, measuring and weighing tablets and medications, mixing medications.Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to practice proper phone etiquette. 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.

Provide feedback to Group Team Lead regarding issues with accounts.

Conducts routine tasks as directed; works under clearly defined guidelines

Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.

Qualifications

Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency.  Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects.

1-2 years pharmacy technician experience

National license pharmacy technician, State licensed pharmacy technician

High School Diploma
