Job Title: C++ Software Developer
Job Description

Develop the next generation of applications for Fire Detection systems. Analyze, design, program, debug, modify, test, and implement software used in Fire Alarm Systems.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, prototype, and develop high-quality software for fire alarm systems.Actively participate in all aspects of software development activity.Create Linux-based desktop applications.Create packaging installer for multiple applications.Create Linux Virtual Machine image.Essential SkillsProficiency in C++.Experience working with Linux or other POSIX-based operating systems.Familiarity with Agile methodologies.Experience with Yocto and Atlassian tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering and/or Computer Science.2+ years of experience developing applications using C++.Experience with make files and scripting.Working knowledge of Linux networking.Experience with MQTT.Experience with Virtual machines.Knowledge of formal development methodologies.Experience with versioning tools such as git.Working experience with gdb.Work Environment

The role involves working three days per week at the facility in Brossard, which is a new building conveniently located near Dix-30 and the REM. The work environment is dynamic and offers the opportunity to design systems from the ground up using the latest and cutting-edge technologies, including multi-core Linux and NXP. You will be part of a passionate and Agile team that values collaboration and open communication. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.00
