The opportunity

The Australian Sustainment Services Contract (ASSC) is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialistto support the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A platform based at RAAF Base Amberley.

The Supply Support Team integrates with the broader program working closely with Project Managers, Asset Managers, Technical Assessors and Engineers to provide life-cycle management of the Australian C-17A platform. The successful candidate will analyse financial and supply chain data to provide value for money options for Defence.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the Supply Services ManagerDeliver commercial and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) benefits to the customer through effective supply chain methodologies.Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) knowledge, skills & experience for the Management, Purchasing, Provisioning, Repairable Items, Receipt and Dispatch of SparesAnalyse and monitor supply chain quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks and opportunities.Coordinate stakeholders across industry to deliver on supply chain strategies.Develop mitigation plans, identify and participate in supplier and business improvement activities.Platform health performance reporting (demand satisfaction/Inventory Health Indicators)Manage and monitor Supply Customer Accounts, program stocktaking and assurance programs.Identify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepancies.Logistics support administration and manage Logistics system accesses/authorities.Coordination and review of all Supply Chain and Logistics impacts and considerations required to support future upgrades, modifications and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).Coordinate tech assessing and technical publications tasks related to Supply Chain requirements

Experience/Qualifications

Previous experience in Integrated Logistics FundamentalsExperience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) highly desirableUnderstanding of airworthiness standardsDemonstrate experience in identifying, establishing and promoting supply process improvements at the project levelExperience in managing multiple stakeholders and engagement with all levels of managementApplicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.Ability to work successfully unsupervised and in a team environment.Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite.High level communication and negotiation skills to facilitate open interaction between customer support teams, repair agencies and key internal and external stakeholders
