The Boeing Global Services' team is searching for a Senior Electrical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer, situated in Long Beach, California.  This position will support the C-17 military cargo aircraft operated around the world.  The successful candidate has an ability to perform systems integration; create/update wiring diagrams, system schematics, block diagrams; read electrical drawings such as wire harness, equipment installation; and resolve technical problems.  The successful candidate will mentor earlier career engineers to further develop the team skills.  This position requires someone that is self-motivated and has leadership abilities.  C-17 engineering is a customer focused organization and the ability to build strong customer relationships is a must.  Looking for a dynamic person that is ready to take on challenging work and provide guidance to teammates.

Position Responsibilities: 

Develops and maintains wiring diagrams, system schematics, and block diagramsPerforms analysis and design reviewsCreates/follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commoditiesPerforms technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selectionSupports the sustainment, development, and documentation of aircraft systems, primarily electrical and electro-mechanical system design (will include interacting directly with USAF customer, Field Engineers, and C-17 aircraft)Performs root cause analysis for field issues, provides corrective actions, and communicates with USAF customer (including presentations)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Long Beach, CA.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Required Education, Skills and Experience   

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry7+ years of experience in Electrical design; including but not limited to Electrical Systems design, Wire Design, Electrical Equipment Installation and Wire Installation Design, Electrical Lighting Systems5+ years of experience with aircraft wiring diagrams and system schematics

Preferred Skills / Qualifications

3+ years of leadership or project management experience1+ years of experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), utilizing model-based definition, preferably on Siemens Nx1+ years of experience with Siemens (formerly Mentor Graphics) Capital wiring tool

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $129,000 to $173,000
