Position Purpose:
Technicians I and II are responsible for performing various general labor activities that include the operation of large machinery that provide assistance to the jobsite.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Operates a vehicle or other special equipment such as forklift, backhoe, amphibious vehicle, or vactor as part of the general labor duties.Performs maintenance on the property and in field as required via the use of a maintenance request for or verbal request.Keeps a log of all maintenance acuities, date of work completed, and as much detail as possible as to what work was performed.Make scheduled inspections of the grounds.Performs lawn and gardening maintenance and repair.Performs various tasks (i.e., shoveling, transfers manhole covers, handle eqt.) to assist Crew Leader.Assist with identifying safety improvements related to the facilities, equipment, or procedures.Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.Performs regular checks of equipment conditions, noting deficiencies and following maintenance procedures. Notifies supervisor of needed maintenance.Communicate effectively via written and oral methods with co-workers, supervisor, managers, and others when necessary. Performs other duties as required.Work Environment:
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.QualificationsEducation/Experience/Background:
High School Diploma/GED is required.1-5 years of work experience in related field.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of basic hand and power tools.Ability to read technical material, blueprints (understands symbols)/.Knowledge of codes, safety devices and procedures.Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
Must have valid Mississippi driver’s license (CDL preferred).Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and squatting, crawling, sitting, occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.
