C-FIN-550 Analyst – Corporate Finance Intern

The role we are offering you: 

 

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to put your theoretical knowledge into practice in assisting the organization in various technical financial analyses to determine the present and future performance of key strategic projects. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, preparing, and summarizing recommendations regarding organic investment projects and acquisition projects.

Are you ready to :  

Develop and/or analyze financial models to calculate profitability of projects of the Company (mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, joint ventures, project financings, etc.). 

Analyze factors that influence profitability of projects. 

Participate/Coordinate due diligence with customers or partners. 

Review all projects to ensure all employees be informed of local issues, risks and other considerations, legal structure, etc. 

Provide support for all commercial product lines (bids/proposals). 

Work in collaboration with Marketing/Business Development department to present projects to internal and external customers, based on knowledge of the business model and accounting/financial principles. 

 

Our ideal candidate has: 

Good analytical skills 

Knowledge of basic corporate finance principles 

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and accounting principles 

Teamwork oriented and interpersonal skills 

Intellectual curiosity and a determination to deepen it’s knowledge 

Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines 

Ability to effectively communicate with upper management, colleagues, customers and financial institution 

Bilingualism in both French and English is required 

 

Preferred Education 

Pursuing a college degree in finance and CBV or CFA deisgnation or in progress of obtaining it’s CPA designation.  

 

Location of the internship is at CAE head office located at 8585 Chem. de la Côte de Liesse, Saint-Laurent, QC. 

 

Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode (1 to 2 days a week in person). 

 

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.  

 

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 12 weeks.
