GENERAL DESCRIPTION PLEXSYS is seeking a qualified candidate to support the E-3G Gen 2 Block 40/45 AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) Mission Crew Training Set (MCTS) program. The E-3G Gen 2 AWACS MCTS provides a fully functional aircrew mission crew simulator that accurately models the software functionality of the USAF E-3G Sentry aircraft. The MCTS is a non-articulated simulator that is designed to provide training for Air Battle Managers and their respective crew positions through nine different system locations worldwide. The MCTS is a device that provides capabilities to train up to 15 crew members at Operator Workstations (OWS); also known as crew consoles and 8 Instructor Operator Stations (IOS) for Instructor Cadre. The trainer uses aircraft software developed by Boeing and supported by the 558th Software Engineering Squadron (SWES) that includes PLEXSYS’ and other COTS training software to facilitate three simultaneous instances function as an independent AWACS. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The role of this position is to provide technical expertise and engineering support to implement reachback support to the MCTS systems, software and networks to include: + Perform reachback support engineering to MCTS customer requests for software and hardware issues and integration + Works in cross-functional teams to improve software, systems, and cybersecurity integration and development efficiencies across the PLEXSYS Ecosystem + Explores and provide integration strategies for third-party and partner solutions + Perform General Acceptance and Operational testing, validation and installation of Government, PLEXSYS and other COTS software applications + Perform system maintenance task preparations and selection of spare parts, support equipment, tools and technical data for MCTS systems + Support practical test activities and schedules to include providing technical assistance and training on equipment operation and maintenance with customers, vendors, and company representatives + Troubleshoot technical problems and issues to determine technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications and recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinated product solution + Provides system hardware, software, and cyber system troubleshooting and reach back support to on-site personnel and coordinate with organizations as necessary + Provide technical assistance and assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications + Provides technical assistance and expertise on suggested customer changes and technical manuals + Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives + Perform connection, disconnection and other network procedures and process for components testing and inspection + Track and maintain system trends and provides product and system improvement initiatives + Coordinate engineering reach back support for software/hardware issues through JIRA, Confluence and other software and resources + Continuously develops and updates operation and troubleshooting procedures, diagrams and scripts for MCTS hardware and software applications + Track software approvals, versioning changes and annotate required changes + Create and maintain system diagrams (Vizio) for data and network flow + Coordinate and communicate with PLEXSYS and customer security personnel cybersecurity posture + Perform component level and Operational System Integration Testing (OSIT) + Perform field level periodic updates, modifications, and maintenance to systems as required + Provide comments on suggested customer changes to documented technical manual procedures + Assist with and/or develop operating procedures and manuals + Experience working with and configuring systems to meet/maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance + Performs other duties, as assigned REQUIREMENTS + Master’s Degree (or Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 additional years or experience, or Associates Degree plus 4 additional years of experience) in a technical area or technical training in computer systems or related high-technology field + 7+ years of related experience + Ability to communicate with internal and external customers effectively, both oral and written + Strong communication and problem-solving skills + Ability to work in both a local and virtual Team environment, as well as independently + Must be organized and detail orientated with demonstrated presentation and customer service skills + At times, perform physically demanding work including working in tight, restricted access quarters and standing for long periods + Experience working with and configuring systems to meet Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance + Ability to Travel 30% of the year CONUS/OCONUS + Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma + Experience in IT administering within multi-domain environments + 5 to 10 years’ experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office + Experience with hardware Fault isolation, repair and part replacement + Extensive industry/vendor skillsets/knowledge on Microsoft Windows OS, Red Hat, Linux, VMWare, Active Directory, PowerShell, Splunk, Server 2008-2019 (Dell Switches) etc. + Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software General Acceptance Testing (GAT) + Experience with Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems and Microsoft Office + Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II and IAM Level I or higher certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) + Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a Top-Secret clearance and approval for Special Access Program DESIREABLE + Specialized training in computer networking, virtualization, or cybersecurity applications and methodology + Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g. aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies) + Experience with equipment logistics, technical manuals, overseeing parts ordering system, quality control inspections + Familiar with MCTS PLEXSYS software: ASCOT Runtime, ASCOT Scenario Development, Launch Control, Brief/Debrief systems, and VAADAR and sonomarc including interconnections with AWACS Mission Computing + Working knowledge of DoD virtual and constructive simulation training environments + Specialized computer training in networking or database management + Experience with Installing, configuring and supporting complex server-based systems + Five to Seven years of military experience in Aerospace Command and Control + Extensive knowledge of E-3G Gen II AWACS + Experience with McAfee ePO (HBSS), Splunk, and Tenable Security Center/Nessus (ACAS) + Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and other Digital Engineering (DE) practices + Experience with DoD Security Regulations and Policies + Experience
