Position Overview
The Cabinet Maker II is responsible for the fabrication of custom exhibits, cabinetry, and scenery using industrial woodworking machinery and materials according to specifications and drawings provided by the Manager, Fabrication, and the project team. This position reports to the Manager, Fabrication.
Key Job Responsibilities
Fabrication
• Construct and assemble cabinet components into quality exhibits and displays using shop drawings and verbal instructions.
• Proficient in using an array of specialty materials including wood, plastics, high pressure laminates.
• Verify all calculations to ensure alignment of all components.
• Operate a variety of woodworking machinery including sliding table saw, compound miter saw, band saw, jointer, planer as well as various hand tools.
• Reinforce joints and structural attachments to maximize stability and durability without compromising aesthetic appeal or functionality.
• Load and operate a CNC flatbed router
• Operate forklift if required and with company provided training.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Other duties assigned.
Safety
• Follow all applicable OSHA and corporate safety protocols and regulations.
• Maintain a safe working environment by maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Job Qualifications
• 3+ years’ experience in cabinetmaking, production style casework, and laminates.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of current production standard operating procedures, safety protocols, materials, and installation methods unique to our business.
• Experience withs scenic construction methods for producing wall panels, platforming, attachment of hanging components, assembly of graphic components and decorative scenic items
• Working knowledge of CNC machine operating.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, CAD detailed drawings, and design renderings.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and through computers, apps, and relevant software.

Work Environment.
Fabrication
Work is performed in a shop environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in a warehouse environment. When traveling on site professional work attire to the vendue is required. When in the Fabrication Department, work will be completed in a temperature-controlled environment with exposure to dirt, sand, dust, and chemicals. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
