TRS Staffing have a fantastic new role for a Cable Systems Engineer / Cable Design Engineer for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer.

The role will see you be technical input in support of Offshore Export cable selection and refinement.

The Role Co-ordination of cable route survey scopes and assessment of cable burial risk / opportunities across proposed routes Development of Inter-Array cable layouts and optimisation Provide definition of cable installation methodologies in support of project consenting inputs Assessment of cable rating constraints along both onshore and offshore Export Cable corridors Development of execution strategy for both Export and Inter-Array cables and development of project programme Support in engagement with supply chain, ensuring project strategy aligns with market expectations
Experience required FEED stage into design, ideally in HVDC. Electrically design biased rather than installation manger experience. Candidate will need to be knowledgeable in ratings calculations, earthing considerations and Electrical calculations rather than burial tool assessments This is a contract opportunity that offers hybrid / remote working model with the occasional need to travel.
