Job Description Summary of Position: * This Customer Engineer position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and replacement of the Point of Sale (POS) system and other technological equipment on-site at our client's locations while representing our company in a manner that reflects positively on the image, core values, and reputation of the company. complete your objective and may be required to perform work overnight while the business is closed Role Responsibilities: * The Customer Engineer is responsible for o Assets that will be used in the delivery of customer services (e.g. tools, software, documentation, and intellectual property) o Maintaining parts inventory records and appropriate parts levels o Accurate and prompt reporting of calls and activity is required, as well as other reporting as needed. This includes tracking and reporting all expenses incurred in the delivery of services, private automobile, and/or public transportation o Testing, running, and terminating network keystone jacks, patch panels, and cables o Installation of Complex Point of Sale Hardware and software solutions as a solo technician, lead technician or assist technician We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-3+ years of recent experience as a cable technician. Experience with cables like CAT5, CAT6, Ethernet, and Fiberoptics. Low Voltage cabling skills and knowledge of industry best practices. Ability to run and pull cables through drywall and flooring (Wire Fishing). Networking and Network Testing experience. Proven experience in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and PC maintenance. Basic network configuration and troubleshooting skills. Safe usage of power and hand tools, including drilling common surfaces for mounting. Experience testing, running, and terminating network keystone jacks, patch panels, and cables.
