**Job Title: Cabling Technician Helper $20-25/hr (Weekly Pay)** **Job Description** Technician Helpers will be responsible for assisting skilled cabling technicians in the installation of cat 5 and 6 data cabling, romex wiring, and low voltage receptacles and components in commercial retail new construction or remodel settings. Helpers will unload and load materials at the job sites, run cable over the ceiling and through framed walls, splice non-hot wire, and use hand and low-power tools to install receptacles and equipment. Helpers will also be measuring distances for cable runs. **Responsibilities** + Assist skilled cabling technicians in the installation of cat 5 and 6 data cabling, romex wiring, and low voltage receptacles and components. + Unload and load materials at job sites. + Run cable over ceilings and through framed walls. + Splice non-hot wire. + Use hand and low-power tools to install receptacles and equipment. + Measure distances for cable runs. **Essential Skills** + Experience with pulling cable and general labor. + Proficiency with hand tools and low-power tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and drills. + Prior construction labor or outdoor labor experience. + Experience with low voltage electricity, including residential receptacles, light fixtures, and switches. + Ability to measure cable distances accurately. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with data cabling and cable installation. + Familiarity with electrical wiring. **Why Work Here?** This company is a data and low voltage cable and wire design and installation company working with some of the largest commercial retailers and companies in the Pittsburgh area.
