Summary 
Reporting to the Manager - Facilities, the CAD Designer (Co-Op) is responsible for reviewing and updating the electrical and/or mechanical designs of our manufacturing facility.

Work Term: Spring/Summer 2025: 4 Months (May- Aug 2025) or 8 Months (May - Dec 2025)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 4 days on-site

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Review and update plant layout documents/drawings using AutoCAD Ensure that all drawings are in accordance with S&C’s design standards Ensure backup of all CAD designs Perform data entry to set up and maintain parts storage in our facilities software system Assist the Project Coordinator and ensure that capital budget projects are following project timelines Participate in quality improvement initiatives for S&C’s drawing process Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Registered in a diploma or degree engineering co-op program (industrial, electrical, mechanical or civil) Eligible for a 4 or 8 month Co-op Term (Spring/Summer 2025) Completed coursework and experience using AutoCAD   Positive, flexible team‐oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team as well as independently Self‐motivated with the ability to take initiative Strong oral and written communication skills Detail-oriented, resourceful Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
