Our client, an industry leader in distributing structural steel, tubing, pipe, piling, and plate products in the US and Canada, is seeking a CAD Designer to join their team. As a CAD Designer, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** CAD Designer **Location:** Petersburg, VA **Pay Range:** $25 per hour **What's the Job?** + Produce shop drawings and 3-dimensional models in Tekla Structures. + Organize and maintain a digital file database for each project. + Utilize knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks, including 3D model development and general arrangement drawing production. + Facilitate and ensure the quality of the drawings and graphic work produced for the team. + Communicate with other team members during the 3D model and plan production. **What's Needed?** + Familiarity with Solid Works, SDS2, Tekla, Creo, or other 3D CAD software preferred. + Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. + Accuracy and reliability in work. + Minimum 1 year of working experience preferred but not mandatory; entry-level candidates will be trained on Tekla Structures software. + Certificate from a technical center or a minimum 2-year college degree in drafting. + Provide small portfolio of their previous CAD work **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work with an industry leader in structural steel distribution. + Gain hands-on experience with advanced CAD software. + Collaborate with a supportive and skilled team. + Develop your skills in a growing company with future expansion plans. + Contribute to meaningful projects that impact the industry.
