Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Piping and Structural Designer/Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will work from engineer's sketched flow sheets and P&ID’s to design and draw all details of seawater, brackish water, and reverse osmosis systems. You will be responsible for designing various reverse osmosis plant layouts in 3D and transferring information to 2D sketches. The role includes producing designs for equipment/piping, piping tie-ins, equipment arrangement drawings, bill of materials (BOM), piping supports, steel tanks, access walkways, and all other fabricated items around the desalination plant.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and draw complete details of seawater and brackish water reverse osmosis systems from engineer's sketches and P&IDs.Create various reverse osmosis plant layouts in 3D and transfer information to 2D sketches.Produce designs for equipment/piping, piping tie-ins, equipment arrangement drawings, BOM, piping supports, steel tanks, access walkways, and other fabricated items.Ensure no interference upon installation by visualizing items within a 3D space.Work with project managers to gather measurement data from existing water/reverse osmosis equipment.Essential SkillsProficiency in Autodesk Plant 3DMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in an engineering or CAD discipline preferred3-5 years of professional work experience highly preferredRelevant experience in water treatment industry, including reverse-osmosis system designMechanical design experience of various piping materials including PVC, stainless steel, and FRPAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with design of mechanical support systems for piping, valves, pumps, and instrumentationSkilled in Autodesk Vault, Autodesk AutoCAD, and general PC usageWorking knowledge of Microsoft Projects is a plusAbility to produce drawings using drafting techniques outlined in department SPOAbility to produce designs from general design conceptsAbility to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formAbility to produce complete Bills of Material for the drawings producedWork Environment
You will be working in a dynamic team environment using cutting-edge technologies such as Autodesk Plant 3D. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to visualize 3D designs accurately. The work involves collaboration with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate measurements and designs. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to the design of advanced water treatment and desalination systems, making a significant impact on water infrastructure.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
