Cambridge International Systems has a career opportunity for a CAD Drafter to join our team in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates must possess an ACTIVE Secret Security clearance. Cambridge will sponsor a higher clearance. The CAD Designer will provide drafting/CAD Operations functions in support of multiple DoD networking, facilities, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities: + Work in conjunction with Principal Designers and Engineers to help develop all aspects of a project + Prepare complete sets of complex drawings which include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings using Revit and AutoCAD software + Work from sketches, models, and verbal information supplied by an engineer, architect, or designer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments + Select required information from precedents, manufacturers' catalogs, specifications, and technical guides + May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a technical assistant for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project + Provide support in defining and developing detailed calculations, drawings, design and installation packages, technical reports, and detailed analyses + Support the verification of the design specifications and assure accuracy of red-lined drawings upon project completion + Assist in the preparation of drawings and technical specifications for final customer presentations + Develop, review and update Installation Design Packages (IDPs) for 30%, 60%, 90% and final design reviews in accordance with the NIWC Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) + Assist in the development and maintenance of office drafting and engineering standards, including but not limited to office policies, guidelines, technical instructions, standards, etc. + Support client reviews of drawings, design and installation packages, technical reports, and detailed analyses + Provide support for other engineering activities as required + Assist in the training and mentoring of team members in the use of AutoCAD and Revit per required standards and processes Required Skills + Skilled in the use of  Revit and AutoCAD, specifically NIWC SIPH drawing standards + Proficient in the use of Adobe PRO for document preparation + Experienced working with Engineers, Architects, and Technicians Required Experience + 3+ years of experience in Revit + 7+ years of experience in Autodesk AutoCAD; 2018 or later + Ability to work independently or as a member of a team + Must have an active Secret security clearance. Candidates without the necessary clearance will not be considered.  Will sponsor higher clearance for those with existing Secret.
