Weston & Sampson is seeking motivated Civil CAD designers utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to support highly skilled engineering and design of infrastructure projects. This position is open to any Weston & Sampson office location or remote. You will prepare site civil, land development, structural, stormwater, and utility design plan sheets while working with a multidisciplinary team. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What you’ll do:
Support site civil, land development, structural, stormwater, utility designs for infrastructure projects.Expertise in the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience in developing plan sets that includes multi-disciplinary engineering plans Experience in grading for site design and dam rehabilitation projects Preparing alignments, cross sections and profiles Familiarity with survey data and ability to support development of topographic and boundary survey base plansCreating surfaces from survey point dataDeveloping construction details Work collaboratively with engineers and project managers on a fast-paced schedule to produce quality work and meet deadlines.
What you will bring:
Associates or Technical Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design, or similar field5+ years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and prepare construction drawings, Civil 3D Surfaces, Alignments, Profiles, and Cross Sections and Grading Objects.Flexibility to perform design, drafting and recognize the importance of meeting stringent deadlines in an often fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and time management skills, ability to effectively plan & manage time commitments on multiple concurrent projectsStrong understanding of CAD standards, features and annotation styles, line styles, and drawing setupStrong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as being self-directed and managing projects independently.Experience processing survey dataExperience processing lidar scan data and point cloudsBluebeamSurvey experience/knowledge a plus OverviewWeston & Sampson is an 100% employee-owned, full-service environmental and infrastructure consulting firm made up of more than 800 professionals, who work together to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for our clients.
