CAD Technician

As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical services, supporting engineering, design and installation information of building construction, utility systems, and production process equipment. You will also develop construction documents from design concept to final design. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Participate in design through As-Built approved design in architectural including space programming, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utility, and process systems. Design responsibilities include: Creation of air flow diagrams, Creation of plumbing riser diagrams Creation of P&ID’s Creation of Project Design drawings Creation of HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical plan drawings Creation of equipment schedules and specifications Creation of elevation, sections and detail plans. Perform modification of engineering drawings including site plans, piping diagrams, building and equipment layout, HVAC systems, plant utilities and SOP exhibits. Provide site wide support of prints, PDF’s, PowerPoint slides and word documents of drawings for the various needs of the site. Manage the drawing management system in Marietta: interface with global systems and support personnel, maintain all applicable LSOPs and act as the site SME for drawing management. Provide oversight and control of documents and GMP Drawings for LTS Engineering. Create SOP’s, establish standards, and provide quality assurance to vendors, consultants, contingents, and contractors documents submitted to the LTS. File new hard copy vendor & project information as required in engineering library. Maintain existing documentation. Retrieve drawings, project information and equipment information as requested in support of Value Stream or LTS objectives, Perform field surveys and document as-built conditions for construction projects or system reviews as request. Ensure all quality, engineering, safety, and environmental procedures and regulations are met, maintained and documented appropriately. Participate in appropriate training. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Associates degree or equivalent in a technical field Minimum of five years as technician and/or associated plant/facility/engineering work assignments. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience in creation and verification of process instrumentation diagrams of clean utilities and equipment including WFI generation, Clean Steam, Compressed Air (Process), and Nitrogen, Experience with creation and verification of facility diagrams of black utilities and equipment including plant steam, chilled water, glycol, condenser water, and instrument air. Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD. Thorough understanding of engineering procedures. Familiarity with computer hardware and software and local area networks. Must have demonstrated self-directed work habits and strong communication skills. Must be a committed team player prepared to work in and embrace a team based culture. Ability to follow written procedures and document results in a neat and precise manner. Solid performance with MS Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to perform all job duties with limited supervision. Maintain attention to detail, while completing multiple complex or repetitive tasks. Demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines.
