This position will be working on NYSDOT projects in a trainee capacity, with a focus on delivering high-quality technical support to our engineering team. The CAD Technician will be responsible for the following essential duties: + Execute a diverse range of complex tasks in direct support of the engineering staff, ensuring optimal efficiency and accuracy in project delivery. + Rigorously monitor and meticulously document conformance with quality standards, performance metrics, safety protocols, and code requirements, maintaining the highest level of compliance at all times. + Provide crucial assistance in performing engineering calculations, demonstrating a keen attention to detail and a commitment to precision. + Set up, operate, and maintain sophisticated equipment, adhering strictly to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. + Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and engineering installations, ensuring strict compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards. + Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, contributing to the overall integrity and traceability of project records. + Demonstrate a thorough understanding of company procedures and policies, consistently meeting or exceeding set performance targets and deadlines. + Execute routine duties with a high degree of competence, operating effectively within the scope of assigned responsibilities. + Attend and successfully complete CADD certification classes in strict accordance with New York State DOT guidelines, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and regulatory compliance. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. + One year of experience with AutoCAD. + Experience working with New York Metro Transportation projects. **Additional Information** + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + Relocation is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
