We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician III to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an advanced proficiency level in utilizing computer-aided drafting (CAD) software and other techniques, standards, and tools to prepare technical drawings. The candidate will assist with developing tools, standards, and processes to create efficiencies in design and drafting techniques, and be able to create, modify, and manipulate blocks/point objects as well as understand and create object data tables. They will demonstrate an understanding of and the ability to manipulate or create scripts and routines. The candidate will coordinate with managers to understand specific customer needs to create templates and drafting standards. The role also requires reading, evaluating, and interpreting designs and drawings, reviewing work print drawings and designs to ensure adherence to all established specifications and standards, and demonstrating a thorough understanding of telecommunications standards. Additionally, the candidate will utilize advanced tools within the CAD software to compile data and import/export to supporting applications, perform research and acquisition of land base data, and assist in the training of less experienced team members.

What it takes

Bachelor’s and/or associate degree in related field and 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination.Elevated level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS and AutoCADOSP Telecom experienceDetail-focused and well-organized, with good problem-solving skillsAble to work as part of a team, yet be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
