This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Houston, TX office. GFT's recent acquisition of DEC broadens our footprint in the Lone Star State and deepens the services and resources we offer our valued Texas clients.

 What you’ll be challenged to do:This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, CADD Manager with experience in Civil and Site design including stormwater and pavement design and is proficient in AutoCAD or Civil 3D to advance your career and have plenty of opportunity for advancement! In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Understanding of storm design and storm calculations as it relates to the projectAbility to generate dirt calculations/dirt balances using AutoCAD Civil 3DKnowledge of submitting for agency reviews/approvals as it relates to the projectComplete layouts, plan/profile and detail pages in civil plans using AutoCAD Civil 3DComplete markups/corrections on plan setsAbility to prepare vertical paving design with detailed knowledge of drainage sheet-flowAbility to conduct quantity take-offs from plan setsQuality assurance/quality control in reviewing plan sets

 

What you will bring to our firm: Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) preferred20 years of continued design and drafting experience with working knowledge of all required components of AutoCAD and Civil 3D as it pertains to Land Development and master planned communitiesStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate/coordinate with coworkers and public agency reviewers as necessaryAbility to promptly shift between projects/tasks as needed or requiredCompensation:The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000.
