Cadet Engineers 2 - (Quality Controller and Material Controller)

Cadet Engineer 1: QC Engineer
the main responsibility is to track material quality inspections, installation inspections, punches
and coordinates with Suppliers and Client.

Detailed tasks:

1. During Preparation phase
a. Assist with review of Suppliers’ manufacturing ITPs as necessary.
b. Follow up the status of supplier quality documentation with Expediting team.
c. Review supplier inspection reports, materials certificates, FAT reports. Coordinate with
Supervisors as necessary.
d. Assist in preparing budget estimate and loading plan for quality (cost of NDT, manpower,
man.days, etc)
e. Assist in preparation of Piping test packages.
f. Prepare material inspection tracker for internal and external inspections.
g. Prepare NCR tracker and NCR formats.
h. Assist with preparation of quality documents with Construction Supervisors such as
inspection Test Plans (ITP), Inspection Test Reports (ITR), test procedures, flow charts,
etc.
i. Prepare inspection trackers for Mechanical, Piping, Electrical.
j. Prepare weekly reporting templates.

2. During material deliveries
a. Assist in internal material inspections (int MIR), led by Supervisors. Review material
inspection reports with Supervisors.
b. Issue inspection reports to suppliers and expedite corrective actions.
c. Prepare material inspection (ext MIR) for external inspection with Client's Representative.
d. Lead external material inspection with Client's Representative and secure approval for billing.
e. Record non-conformities report and non-quality costs. Follow up supplier corrective actions to
close NCRs.

3. During Fabrication works
a. Conduct inspections at fabrication at workshops and factories with Supervisors.
b. Track all non-conformities and non-quality costs, and coordinate with Suppliers.
c. Keep track of progress and inspections.

4. During Construction works
a. Track all non-conformities and non-quality costs, and coordinate with Suppliers.
b. After internal inspection by Supervisor, conduct site inspections (WIR) for Mechanical, Piping,
Electrical, Instrumentation, with Client.
c. Update weekly inspection trackers.
d. Compile punch list for erection and commissioning.

5. During Commissioning works
a. Assist in erection punch clearance.
6. Quality Reporting a. Prepare weekly reporting: i. NCR tracker ii. MIR tracker iii. Site inspection (WIR) trackers iv. Site punch list b. Update SharePoint folders on a weekly basis. c. Provide ‘Lesson Learned’ reports.
7. HSE & Ethics a.
Followed the HSE and Ethics policy.

Cadet Engineer 2: Material Controller

  - main responsibility is to prepare and track all material deliveries, storage, and issuance.

Detailed tasks:

1. Preparation works
· Update daily the Supplier documentation tracker. Coordinate with the Site team (QCs and
Supervisors) to ensure all storage and handling manuals, packing lists are available and
acceptable.
· Coordinate and review supplier packing lists prior to ‘Release for shipment’.
· Estimate storage areas (m2 and m3) for all materials. Prepare storage mapping layouts.
· Estimate delivery projections to assess the workload: required manpower, required unloading
and handling equipment, etc.
· Anticipate material delivery and offloading (arrange crane, manpower, etc).
· Prepare list of tool required for warehouse and yards.
· Anticipate and plan upcoming deliveries.
· Ensure all storage facilities are operational, secured, and safe (barricaded, vermin-free, safety
signage, firefighting, CCTV, protected against thefts, etc).
· Source external warehouses, yards, equipment rental, etc

2. Deliveries & inspections
· Coordinate with Logistics, Suppliers, Civil partner, and Storekeepers to prepare deliveries at Site.
· Coordinate with Truck drivers for shipment schedule.
· Coordinate with external warehouses as necessary.
· Manage unloading activities and storage of materials. Assist Storekeepers as required.
· Witness all deliveries, counter check packing lists and delivery receipts.
· Take photos of deliveries (before, during, and after), truck (arrival and departure) unloading,
container, crate, and empty container with dates/time and save on SharePoint.
· Assist in on-hands material deliveries and inspections (crate opening, closing, handling of
materials, etc).

3. Preservation
· Ensure proper storage, security, and preservation of all equipment, bulk materials, and
consumables.
· Conduct regular rounds or warehouse, external warehouses, yards, stores, laydown areas.
· Update tracker on a weekly basis.

4. Material issuance & handover
· Prepare Material Handover for subcontractors.
· Secure approval from subcontractors and save reports.
· Prepare Tool handover to internal staff.

5. Monitoring of warehousing documentation
· Review weekly the warehousing documentation (material tracker, MRF, etc). Feedback any
deviations to team Leader and /or Manager.
· Conduct weekly inspections in warehouse and yards to ensure proper storage, labelling, safety, etc. Identify any deviations and implement corrective / preventive actions. · Assist in material inventory. 6. Reporting · Prepare weekly reports (% of material delivered, storage areas allocation, photos records, etc). · Update SharePoint folders on a weekly basis. · Provide Lesson Learner (REX) reports.
7. HSE & Ethics · Followed the HSE and Ethics policy.
