This is an entry-level position that requires advanced knowledge in structural engineering. The job involves intellectual work and decision-making and must have discretion and judgment. The purpose of this position is to apply established practices and guidelines to deliver high-quality services. The role supports the Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects and performs specific portions of engineering assignments.
• Perform calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures by hand and computer analysis
• Perform and check routine calculations, and solve problems of simple engineering complexity
• Assist Lead to develop estimates, schedules, progress reports, and key quantity tracking reports
• Interface with other discipline functions
• Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Participate in mentoring program for personal development
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
