Salary Range: $19.34 - $22.42

Position Summary Under supervision, receives and disburses money within Weill Cornell Medicine’s CaféJob Responsibilities Receives payment by cash or credit cards. Issues receipts, refunds, credit or change due to customer. Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure par amounts are correct. Checks for adequate change. Sorts, counts and wraps currency and coins. Calculates total payments received during shift and reconciles with total sales. Maintains a clean and orderly area. Ensures guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times. Escalates issues as needed. Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and/or reagents. May order supplies/equipment/reagents as authorized or ensure that needs are escalated appropriately. Receives supply orders and confirms accuracy of delivery. May assist with cost control. Education May vary Experience Approximately 2 years prior experience in a customer service related roleKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to work within an organization emphasizing teamwork, respect, and excellence. Licenses and Certifications Food Protection Certificate, issued by the Department of Health Working Conditions/Physical Demands Standard food service environment; Role will require long hours of standing or walking
