CSCA Café is a new and exciting café and bakery that will highlight exceptional coffee, exquisite pastries and a friendly atmosphere. We pride ourselves on providing top-notch service, the highest quality products, showcasing the work of CSCA’s Professional students and creating a community space where customers can relax and enjoy their favorite beverages, baked goodies and other retail products.
JOB SUMMARY
CSCA Cafe is looking for experienced cafe and/or bakery associates to join our team. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops and/or bakeries. You will bring a smile, enthusiasm and energy to role serving impeccable baked goods and coffee to our community. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and propel CSCA cafe into a favorite neighborhood spot.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, following recipes and customer preferences.
+ Operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
+ Prepare and/or package a variety of baked goods
+ Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, equipment, restroom, and seating areas.
+ Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about the menu and retail products.
+ Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
+ Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and reporting shortages.
+ Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
+ Collaborate with team members to create a positive and efficient work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Attention to detail and a passion for coffee and customer service.
+ Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
+ Basic math skills for handling transactions.
+ Food Safe Handling Certified - Preferred
SCHEDULE
+ This is an Hourly Part Time Position
COMPENSATION
+ $15 - $18/hr. commensurate with Experience and Educational Background
WORK ENVIRONMENT
+ The work environment will be in a retail/café setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
+ Ability to Stand for hours at a time
+ Ability to lift 25+ lbs
+ Ability to move equipment, ingredients and finished products from location to location as required
