Cage Wash Facilities Attendant - I
Join Our Team! We have an exciting opportunity for a Cage Wash Facilities Attendant I to join our ARC Research Center team. The Cage Wash Facilities Attendant I works under direct supervision and provides facility and equipment sanitation, material handling, transportation, and other related tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures as directed to meet departmental goals. Job Responsibilities: Operates and maintains cage, rack, and bottle washers from both soiled and clean sides. Performs periodic washer cleaning and preventive maintenance. Operates sipper tube washers, SOMAT disposal machines, and other process equipment as necessary. Operates walk-in steam sterilizers. Prepares and sanitizes clean caging equipment, feed, and water. Transports the clean housing equipment to murine holding areas and the soiled equipment to the soiled side of the cage wash room. Sanitizes maintenance of facility support areas and equipment (e.g., corridors, procedure labs, and storage areas). Maintains equipment and supplies. Assembles murine housing equipment. Stocks and maintains general-use supplies. Assists with receiving equipment and supplies. Provides assistance with routine husbandry in murine holding areas under close supervision as needed. Adheres to all departmental and institutional safety measures. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED required. Minimum Experience: Industrial sanitation and/or equipment handling experience preferred. Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
