Additional information about the company can be found at WhirlpoolCorp.com. **This role in summary** Our Ottawa Manufacturing team is looking for Quality Inspectors to join our team! $21.10 per hour **Your responsibilities will include** + Capable of identifying BIR products that fail to meet quality expectations - through visual and/or testing inspection and disposal according to the established process + Support improvement activities for quality, delivery, cost, and safety as well as continuous improvement through Kaizen + Must be able to communicate and receive communications regarding safety components and job instruction + Data collection and failure mode root cause analysis of defective units + Liaise with other departments/functions as required to drive change and implement containment and/or corrective actions to mitigate quality defects + Work on a moving/conveyor style production line or stabilized workstation + Ensures that the workstation is kept in a clean and safe condition. + Participate and engage fully in training experiences + Follow all company policies and procedures + Support in recognizing and defining problems, collecting data, and developing conclusions + Utilities may be asked to work outside their designated department + Stack, lift (floor to overhead) and carry up to 40 pounds if required + Other tasks as needed **Minimum requirements** + Consistently demonstrates the Whirlpool Values + Strong computer skills including data analysis and chart creation + Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal) + Must be self-motivated and able to lead programs and/or projects independently + Willingness to be hands on + Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize issues and tasks + Have a strong desire for personal and professional development + Must be able to identify problems, analyze root cause and implement solutions that address the root-cause and minimize business risk + Outstanding problem solving skills + Customer focused, team-oriented, and able to drive sustainable business solutions + Must be willing and able to work overtime and have the flexibility to work any shift **Preferred skills and experiences** + 2+ year engineering/manufacturing experience + WCM (World Class Manufacturing) tool usage and knowledge + Drafting software (Google Workspace) + Blueprint reading **Why should you apply?** + Up to 40+ hours of paid training + Up to 120 hours of paid time off (prorated based on start date) + Medical, dental, vision, 401k and other benefits available immediately + We offer manufacturing careers + Tuition reimbursement + Apprenticeships **Additional information** Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool Corporation See what it's like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers (http://www.whirlpoolcareers.com/) .
