Job Title: Calibration and Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor / Engineering Manager
We are seeking a skilled Calibration and Maintenance Technician to join our team in the manufacturing of medical devices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of all equipment used in the production process, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and contributing to the optimization of manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities: Equipment Calibration: Perform routine calibration of production equipment, instruments, and systems to meet regulatory and quality standards (ISO, FDA, etc.). Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on machinery and equipment in compliance with maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions and make necessary repairs to ensure uninterrupted production processes. Documentation: Maintain accurate calibration and maintenance records in accordance with quality control and regulatory requirements. Compliance: Ensure all calibration and maintenance procedures are in compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory guidelines (FDA, ISO 13485, GMP). Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements and enhance equipment performance. Training & Support: Assist in the training of junior technicians and operators in proper maintenance and calibration practices. Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications: Education: Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing or medical device environment. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of calibration processes and tools. Proficiency in reading technical schematics and blueprints. Knowledge of PLC systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems. Certifications: Calibration certification or related technical certifications preferred. Software Skills: Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, and other applicable industry standards. Key Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems. Detail-oriented with excellent documentation practices. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
