Position Overview Calibration Intern – Summer 2025 We’re International. We build International trucks and engines and IC Bus® school and commercial buses, as well as develop Fleetrite aftermarket parts. We are seeking a development engineering intern responsible for the calibration and development of Drivability Features to perform to specifications and meet requirements. The work involves in-vehicle calibration development to meet system and vehicle level requirements. Specifically, working with internal and external teams to understand requirements, designing tests, analyzing results, and reviewing results prior to release. Test planning, test support and troubleshooting are necessary as part of this job. In addition, continual support of released calibrations is critical to respond to any warranty issues and necessary product evolution. About the Intern Program 12 week program with start dates on: May 12 or 19 or June 2 40 hours per week Must graduate between December 2025 - May 2027 Responsibilities Works with program teams to understand program level requirements Works with internal technical teams to understand system and vehicle level requirements Coordinate and executes necessary vehicle tests to support development goals Troubleshoot issues during development, validation, and production Designs and/or utilizes tools for data processing and calibration development Maintains plotted data and calibration settings for tests in pre-designated location Analyzes test data to draw conclusions Makes necessary calibration changes and supports calibration builds and releases Documents conclusions & summaries in report or presentation format and conducts data reviews/summaries with team Documents significant issues & resolutions via standard channel Provides any potential design change recommendations through formal report with supporting data Utilizes established engineering practices and software to document workflow and track calibration updates via change control process Becomes familiar with internal processes such as CCR (calibration change request), Cal compare, DVP&R, FMEA Minimum Requirements Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status) Desired Skills Minimum required cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Strong communication and organizational skills Critical thinking and problem solving Previous internships or work experience is a plus Ability to work independently Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Basic understanding of vehicle body structures and systems is a plus Previous internship or project experience in automotive engineering is preferred Benefits and Compensation The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our 2025 campus intern openings is $24 - $38/hour.
