Estimated hourly rate pay: $27.98 (minimum) - $34.95 (midpoint) - $41.92 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Calibration Technician, we have an exciting opportunity for you. To ensure that all measurement processes within Woodward conform to recognized measurement practices and principles. Provide calibration and maintenance of standards and measuring and testing equipment (including, but not limited to mechanical, electronic, size, temperature, pressure, weight, and gas and liquid flow). Identifies magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to determine reliability of measurement process in quantitative terms. Develops calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements. To ensure that Woodward's calibration program complies with QS-9000, ISO/IEC 17025 and other relevant customer and industry standards.
What You Will Be Doing
Developing calibration procedures.
What We Are Looking For
US – associate’s degree-Associate of Applied Science degree in Metrology, graduate of a military metrology/calibration program, or equivalent experience required.
5+ years General knowledge of Woodward products and a good knowledge of the measuring and test equipment used to verify these products. 5 years’ experience in a Calibration Lab required.
Comprehensive knowledge in some or all the following areas: Electrical/electronic theory; mechanical principles; and hydraulic systems Demonstrate solid knowledge and application in metrology principles and measurement methods.
Demonstrate solid knowledge and application in calibration laboratory principles and practices.
Demonstrate solid knowledge and application in standards to which various measuring and test equipment is calibrated.
Ability to learn and apply various software packages and Woodward systems, including IndySoft.
Ability to develop detailed work instructions/procedures for calibration of individual equipment.
