Calibration Technician

The Biomedical Calibration Technician I will test, trouble-shoot to the component level, repair, or rework, calibrate, inspect, and certify a variety of electronic subassemblies, assemblies and completed instruments.

Responsibilities:

· Follow standard work defined by Fluke and cGMP defined by FDA to work on calibration processes and perform high quality calibration, troubleshoot and repair services on customer products.

· Participate in 5S regularly, do Kaizen and other continuous improvement processes implemented by the company.

· Knowledge of computer systems architecture, computer fundamentals desirable, Excel is desirable.

· Good organizational skills, knowledge of data input, process output and monitoring for everyday use is desirable.

· Interacts with customer service, technical support team, engineers and sometimes customers for items requiring repair or limited calibration.

· Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation and perform duties using regular test equipment in accordance with prescribed procedures, practices, and specifications.

· Completes all documentation supporting customer documentation requirements, reporting, ISO and other quality systems.

· Perform moderate to complex duties on a wide variety of production line instruments that have failed in previous testing or in operational use.

· May input to writing or modifying of test procedures and construct new test fixtures from drawings and specifications.

· May collect, analyze and report data on test processes as information source on related procedures and practices.

· Provide training or assistance to less experienced personnel.

· Work temporarily on other op-cos in FHS under business demands.

· Under limited supervision, receive no instructions on routine work assignments and general instructions on new assignments.

· Sound knowledge of related test practices, processes and procedures, ability to operate all types of electronic and pressure test equipment.

· Creates calibration data sheets accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision based upon instrument specifications and approved calibration procedures.

 

Qualifications:

· 1-3 years of electronic test and repair experience

· Bachelor’s/Associate degree in electronic engineering technology

· FDA or medical device experience is a plus.

· Metrology skills are also a plus.
