What you will do with us: Performs scheduled and unscheduled (i.e., equipment failures) maintenance and calibration activities on facility equipment (e.g., water systems, room pressures, etc.). Schedules third party service providers as necessary to ensure services are completed in compliance and in concert with production schedules and due dates.  Investigates equipment failures, reviews checklist of potential problems, determines root cause, implements solutions (e.g., order new parts, etc.), orders quality investigation, etc. Calibrates equipment to ensure measurement is within tolerance (i.e., measures and assesses against tolerance).  Coordinates the repair of equipment to meet requirements of internal and external customers.  Documents maintenance and calibration work completed, writes reports, places work orders for quality investigations, and communicates results. Updates and maintains company calibration/maintenance quality system.  Conducts and evaluates data trending of test results and tracks data in Excel spreadsheet. Calculates averages, standard deviations, and tolerances in Excel. Researches and reviews available equipment or improvements, service options, or replacement justifications.   Contributes in a team effort by performing in accordance to all STERIS policies, GMP, Lean principles and other directives; supports the directives and decisions of higher-level management and performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Minimum 4 years experience with a HS diploma or GED No experience required with a Vocation/Technical degree You will be a great fit if you have: Skill in performing mechanical operations using tools and equipment. Skill in oral communication and comprehension.  Skill in performing basic computer operations using Microsoft Word and Excel. Skill in organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks.  Skill in performing basic mathematical calculations related to calibration (i.e., tolerances, averages, and standard deviations). Skill in prioritizing the adherence to safety protocol at all times and monitoring self and environment for potential hazards.  Skill in time management. Ability to attend to details with a strong focus on accuracy.  Ability to complete forms and other documentation.  Ability to learn technical knowledge.  Ability to monitor self and environment to make improvements or take corrective action. Ability to read and comprehend rules, schedules, procedures, and instructions.  Ability to adapt to changing requirements or work environment.  Ability to work well in a team environment to support the work of others.  Ability to work autonomously.  Ability to work in a regulated environment that requires strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
