DAI, a global consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from candidates for technical and managerial long- and short-term positions on the anticipated South Sudan Peacebuilding and Independent Media Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Anticipated Program Background
The South Sudan Peacebuilding and Independent Media Activity is expected to focus on resolving ongoing communal conflicts to reduce violence and build sustainable peace by addressing the underlying causes of conflict, promoting reconciliation, and supporting the development of inclusive and resilient communities. The activity is expected to focus on conflict-affected communities across South Sudan with a focus on women, youth, people with disabilities, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, ethnic minorities and key stakeholders in communities.
Professionals with five (5) or more years of experience in the following areas of expertise are sought for long- and short-term positions. South Sudanese nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
Deputy Chief of Party
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)
Independent Media Strengthening
Strategic Communications Manager
Grants development and management
Qualifications
Degree, from an accredited university, in a relevant or related field (such as international development, international relations). Advanced degree (master’s or higher) is preferred.
Five (5) or more years of experience in area of expertise.
Two (2) or more years of progressive management and leadership experience for managerial positions.
Experience in South Sudan preferred.
Experience with international donor-funded programs. USAID experience a plus.
Strong communication skills—both written and oral—in English.
