**37946BR** **Requisition ID:** 37946BR **Business Unit:** DAS **Job Description:** We are seeking professionals with a diverse range of skills and experiences to join our dynamic team for donor-funded Water Resources Technical Assistance to the Lesotho’s Department of Water (DWA) under the Institutional Reform Activity which is part of the Market-Driven Irrigated Horticulture (MDIH). This position will be based in Maseru, Lesotho, with anticipated minor local travel within the country. The primary objective of this activity is to support DWA in addressing the mandate implementation challenges, within the framework of the proposed Water Resources Management Act, and to develop Water Resource Management Plans (WRMPs) for each of the three main catchments in Lesotho; the Mohokare, Senqu, and Makhaleng. Interested individuals, either on a long-term or short-term basis, are invited to submit their applications and CVs, specifying their areas of expertise based on the below disciplines: - Water Systems Modeler - Water Resource Planner - Hydrology - Hydrogeology - Water Quality - Surface Water Modeling - Water Demand Forecasting **Job Title:** Call for Water Resources Experts, Lesotho **Group:** DAF **Employment Type:** Local **Minimum Qualifications:** - Degree in water management, geology, environmental science, geophysics, science, engineering, or related field. - 10 or more years of demonstrable experience with - planning, designing, and managing, water resource systems, OR - management and conservation of water systems and resources, OR - studying/ assessing distribution, flow and quality of underground water and or surface water, range estimating future water demand to evaluating possible new sources of water, protecting water sources, and addressing expanding environmental regulations on projects of similar size and scope. - Knowledge or familiarity with Lesotho water resources demonstrated through at least one project is desirable. - Prior international experience and experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa. - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. - Experience on multilateral and bilateral donor-funded projects (World Bank, USAID, MCC, etc.) International Candidates & Nationals of Lesotho are encouraged to apply **Why CDM Smith?:** Check out this video and find out why our team loves to work here!
