CAM – Technical Support Representative IIPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a CAM (Cleaning And Maintenance) Technical Support Representative II for both commercial and residential businesses. The position will require progression of knowledge and skills in cleaning and maintenance of all categories of flooring with strong communication/interpersonal skills. This is a remote or in Dalton/Cartersville opportunity requiring on average 60-80% travel to job sites during the week. Must have a strong desire and/or to develop abilities to solve problems, learn and demonstrate proper cleaning methods and understanding of equipment/chemicals used in maintaining Shaw product.

Responsibilities
Continually work alongside CAM Technical Support Representatives to develop skills in the cleaning and maintenance of commercial and residential flooring products in a highly professional manner, and able to engage customers in all applicable end use environments. Knowledge in commercial or residential cleaning and maintenance from product characteristics, chemicals, and equipment.
Develop skills and knowledge to support sales reps with training, projects, and performance.
Assist CAM Technical Support Representatives with technical support and training to the professional carpet/floor cleaning industry, servicing commercial and residential businesses, the janitorial supply industry, and other groups associated with facility management
Provide training in cleaning and maintenance for all new hire sales reps.
Attending and working trade shows as a technical resource to provide training, demonstrations, etc.
Develop skills and knowledge to serve as an inspector for field project situations, ability to analyze and offer solutions to problems; make recommendations for corrective action; and when required, demonstrate the solutions in front of the customer. Preparation of inspection reports, product reviews/testing, and other related documents must be submitted/filed promptly.
Where possible, approach all field situations as training opportunities to not only resolve the situation at hand but to leave behind knowledgeable resources capable of resolving future issues.
Familiarity with and able to discuss cleaning and maintenance techniques in detail and defend those opinions both verbally and in writing in potentially difficult situations.
This position will be responsible for assisting with developing technical literature relating to maintenance of Shaw products, technical bulletins, development of maintenance videos, and sign-off in the Shaw warranty process.
Conduct cleaning studies on methods and products to address industry cleaning issues.
Evaluate and test Chemicals
Evaluate and test new machines
Cleaning trials
Must be able to schedule travel and coordinate appointments with customers, etc.
Follow Shaw Travel and Departmental procedures and be a good steward of resources.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Must have a minimum of 0-3 years commercial and residential cleaning and maintenance experience.
Resilient cleaning and maintenance experience and/or professional certifications are a plus*
Carpet cleaning and maintenance experience and/or professional certifications are a plus*
This is a remote opportunity requiring on average 60-80% travel to job sites during the week.
Must be adaptable and willing to accommodate sudden changes in schedule
Must be able to travel by car and air unassisted
Must have adequate public speaking, teaching, and training skills. Have the ability to interact with a broad range of audiences, both verbally and written, to include customers, installers, sales personnel, general contractors, etc.
Must possess leadership abilities, exemplify professionalism, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues between departments and information considered proprietary
Must be self-motivated, have good organizational, and time management skills
