From coordinating engaging activities that inspire confidence and fun, to leading an enthusiastic team, you’ll ensure camp runs smoothly, safely, and with plenty of excitement. You’ll play a key role in building a vibrant, supportive community while managing the camp’s operations and fostering positive relationships with parents, the public, and your fantastic staff. Job Qualifications • A minimum of 3-5 years in management responsibilities and at least 2 years in a leadership role in organized camping. • Ability to live on-site at the resident camp from approximately May 1 – August 30. • Program design, training and facilitation skills. • Ability to lead, organize, and delegate work. • Possesses critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. • Be able to react in a crisis situation with a clear mind. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience in budget management. • Experience in supervision and management of volunteers. • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and overnights. • Spanish/Bilingual skills a plus. • Excellent leadership, management, and decision-making skills. • High capacity to master and leverage data tracking platforms. • Highly organized and detail oriented with a bias towards execution and action. • Skilled relationship builder with a demonstrated ability to motivate and collaborate effectively across difference and across every level of the organization. • A proactive team player willing to pitch in at all levels while also holding a big picture, systems thinking mindset. • Exceptional written and verbal communicator. • Strong work ethic with a high degree of curiosity and a learning orientation; someone who leads and operates with a high level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion. • Be or become a registered member of the Girls Scouts of the United States of America; have a working knowledge of Girl Scout philosophy and programming, and be committed to the Girl Scout mission. Prior Girl Scout experience not required.
