Ford has an exciting opportunity to move to the next step in your career focused on leading the Global Switch Campaign Prevention Process per GPDS for Full-Service Supplier (FSS) for all EEHW owned switches.
You'll have...
BSME/BSEE or similar engineering degree.
10 years minimum of overall engineering experience.
6 years of experience in the use of Failure Mode Avoidance tools.
Even better, you may have...
MSME or MSEE or similar Engineering degree.
Strong understanding of Electronics Hardware / Systems required.
Previous PVT and/or Plant Launch experience desirable with good understanding of the vehicle assembly and FSS Electronics Manufacturing processes.
Good understanding and working experience with engineering foundation documents: P-Diagram, Boundary Diagram, DFMEA, Robustness Checklists, DVP, SCCAF, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.
Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office 365: XL, Word, PowerPoint, Project.
Self-starter with excellent teamwork, leadership, communication skills and a quality mindset.
Good organization skills and the ability to plan and perform multiple tasks are very important for this position.
Candidate should have the ability to travel locally and out-of-town to vehicle assembly plants (Mexico, US, Canada) for Fresh Eyes Reviews and for Supplier Reviews. Travel out-of-town is typically 4-5 days, periodically, during Launch.
May require occasionally working outside of normal local working day to be able to interface with other regions in different time zones.

What you'll do...
Lead the Global Switch Campaign Prevention Process per GPDS for Full-Service Supplier (FSS) for all EEHW owned switches. Lead Switch related CPS Process Documentation ownership. Lead Campaign Prevent Training for Switch organization Globally. Mentor US, EU, FoM teams in Campaign Prevention excellence. Lead Campaign Prevent Deep Dive 1 and 2 events for all switches and perform signoff when complete. Perform & Report Out Virtual Deep Dive (Fresh Eyes reviews and Design Documentation) Events for Switches. Plan workload for team, Schedule team meetings, Review documents (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, DVPR, SCCAF, etc.) and evidence of design robustness of Failure Mode Causes. Coordinate events/support with EHW Technical Specialists. Perform & Report Out on Physical Vehicle Fresh Eyes Events for Switches in NA: Identify issues, Work with D&R Teams for Resolution and Closure; work with Switch Core to document PRAs. Due to the frequency of Fresh Eyes Reviews requiring travel, you will need to become cross trained in electronic module and shifter fresh eyes reviews so that the 3 CPSs can support each other in these reviews. Track and provide management reporting of Switch compliance to above deliverables. Co-Lead/Maintain Industry Recalls Matrix for Switches working with Switch Technical Specialists. Perform Signoffs to requirement compliance. Maintain Campaign Prevent History Checklist. Lead PRA development and implementation working with Switch Technical Specialists. Stop Ship / PAC / 8D Root Cause, ICA, PCA facilitation and support. Mentor teams in problem-solving activities to prevent recurrence of failures and customer issues. Partner Audits: Participate in partner relationship failure mode audits as determined by Switch Management and Program interface teams.
