QA (Quality Assurance) Analyst
Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Time and Attendance Product QA team. This role focuses on manual testing as part of our regression test suite to ensure the stability, accuracy, and performance of our highly configurable time and attendance applications. The candidate will be responsible for testing key features that support thousands of concurrent users and millions of transactions weekly. The role involves following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to validate applications, user-defined screens, and system workflows used by employees, managers, practitioners, and time administrators.
Key Responsibilities
Execute manual regression tests as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), focusing on time and attendance functionalities. Ensure consistent quality across configurable features that handle high user volume and transaction load. Verify the accuracy of user-defined screens and workflows for various roles including employee, manager, practitioner, and time administrator. Collaborate with team members to refine test scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Use built-in scripting within the regression suite to support manual test execution where applicable. Report, document, and track defects found during testing; collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues. Maintain and update test documentation, ensuring SOPs are current and reflective of the latest system changes.
Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of Time and Attendance domain: Familiarity with time and attendance concepts, scheduling, employee attendance, and administrator functionalities. Manual Testing Expertise: Experience in manually executing test cases, ideally with exposure to regression testing in high-volume environments. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, with an eye for inconsistencies in configurable workflows. Client-Facing Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate findings and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and identify potential areas of improvement in the testing process. Documentation Skills: Capability to maintain test documentation and update SOPs as needed.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience working with highly configurable applications in the Time and Attendance or Human Capital Management (HCM) domain. Exposure to testing tools and environments that support scripted regression testing. Knowledge of standard workflows and best practices within time and attendance systems and the ability to quickly understand and apply domain-specific SOPs.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience in software quality assurance.
