About you and this role We are looking for you, an ambitiousmaster’s or bachelor’s student (m/f),to support ourFinance organization by doing an internship project in Tax Department at our location in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. Dowis offering great career opportunities in a global and international environment. The department that will welcome you is theTax Operations EMEAI organization, whichhas around 30 employees, most of them located in Terneuzen (NL). We are responsible for all taxes for all Dow legal entities in this region. In total these are over 100 registrations in more than 30 countries. Tax is part of the Terneuzen Finance department, which has several other functions like: Treasury, Cost accounting, Financial and Statutory, Invoicing, and Internal audit. Responsibilities We offer both internships where students can do a graduation internship and work on a thesis in our department. Also, internships that focus on working in our department are an option. Projects in areas like Transfer Pricing, CBAM, Green Tax, ESG, VAT, BEPS are possible. But we are open for your ideas and interests, so we can find a fit for a thesis together. During the internship period the following subjects can be covered: + Learning SAP system. Mainly to review Accounts payable and Accounts receivable invoices, review General ledger account balances, check journal entries + Review of the VAT returns + Preparation of the VAT payment request if applicable + Review of Intrastat data + Review of European Sales Listing data + Preparing Balance sheet account reconciliations and clearing of GL accounts + Connect with other Dow departments like Financial & Statutory, Invoice to Cash, Procure to Pay, Customs and Treasury. + Use tools like SAP, Office, SharePoint (Tax portal) Qualifications + Preferably your study is including Tax subjects. + You have a good working knowledge of English and languages like German, French etc. is considered a plus.
