Presbyterian Homes & Services - Founders Ridge and Shorewood Landing are seeking a Campus Pastor to support our communities. The Director of Pastoral Care develops and implements a pastoral care program to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of residents and their families in the community. General areas of responsibility include: visiting and counseling residents and families; providing religious, sacramental and educational services; participating in residential care conferences and specialized services for the dementia program; liaison to the church community and local clergy service organizations; overseeing spiritual care volunteers; and implementing spiritual care programs.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: Campus Pastor reports to the Campus Administrator or Site Leader.
Scheudle: The Campus Pastor will split thier time between two campus of PHS, Founders Ridge and Shorewood Landing. To work on Sunday is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Pastoral Care Services (Worship, Sacraments, Prayer, Bible Studies, and PHS’ Programs):
Effectively plan, implement, organize and coordinate the Spiritual Care program to enhance the care and services for residents.In accordance with resident requests and desires, provide for Sunday worship and chapel services throughout the week.Plan, arrange/conduct special events for Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Lent and Advent and other special holiday services.Schedule and arrange services for all major resident denominations using outside clergy as needed.Conduct small Bible studies on a weekly basis.Visit and pray with residents on an individual basis. Document visits. Maintain accurate records and reports on all resident programming and visits.Provide specialized services to the dementia care program residents. Implement PHS’ spiritual care programs including Abiders Ministry, Blessing of the Hands, Procession of Honor and others.Support Hospice programs and staff as appropriate.Community Involvement/Professional Development
Actively participate in representing the interests of Presbyterian Homes to area churches and other organizations.Recruit clergy and lay leaders from other denominations and area churches to provide worship and sacramental services to residents.Collaborate with Admissions to ensure all marketing efforts reflect the ministry perspective of Presbyterian Homes.Participate in local Chaplains Association meetings or other local networking groups. Participate in the PHS Pastoral Care Directors’ Functional Work Group Meeting.Resident/Family Relations
Visit residents on a regular basis on campus and in the hospital as needed.Participate in care conferences and family conferences as required.Communicate and document appropriate resident information in resident file, maintaining confidentiality.Conduct funeral and memorial services when requested.Provide pastoral counseling, personal support and guidance to residents and families experiencing life changes, including death of a resident. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree and a Master's degree from an accredited theological seminary preferred.Experience: three years of experience in a church setting or other pastoral care/chaplaincy ministry preferred. One unit of clinical pastoral education (CPE) is preferred.Demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions.Ability to tactfully deal with residents, family members, staff, visitors, outside public, and church organizations.Demonstrate good moral character.Plan, organize, develop, and implement goals and objectives necessary for delivering pastoral care program.Ecclesiastical endorsement by a recognized religious denomination.Agreement with the mission statement, vision and values of Presbyterian Homes & Services, espousing an evangelistic pastoral commitment.Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.Pay Range The estimated starting pay range for this role is $60,070 - $75,067 per year. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change. Benefits
