Job Title Campus Support Technician III Posting Number F006299 Position Status Full Time Assignment Length Not Applicable Grant Funded No Category Computer Services Class Code 43 Starting Pay $48,048 Special Note Location Northwest Department DT Campus Support Services Job Summary Reporting to the Coordinator or Manager of Campus Services, the Campus Support Technician responds to staff requests for technology equipment, support and supplies, performs minor repairs on equipment and assists with inventory. The position produces instructional and promotional videos at the campus level using digital media and functions as a liaison to faculty, staff, and students with technology needs. The position troubleshoots and repairs technology equipment, as well as installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to microcomputer hardware and software systems and provides technical assistance/training to system users. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Essential Performance Requirements* Completes scheduled technology setups; ensures equipment is in good operating condition, correct software, firmware, and updates are done to the integrated systems Answers client’s inquiries in person and via telephone concerning systems operation and responds to emergency calls for assistance/Performs repairs/adjustments on equipment Assists with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and research; provides system testing and troubleshooting expertise on high‐end A/V integrated control systems (i.e., Extron/Crestron) Diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems; instructs user in use of equipment, software, and manuals Responds to faculty and administrative requests for technology support; provides AV orientation to faculty and clients using the technology so they can utilize it effectively Assists with maintaining inventory of all campus technology equipment Maintains the schedule of campus events related to technology and assists with the installation and preparation of technology for events Assists with scheduling requests for equipment and software for classrooms Assists in the production of digital media classroom instructional materials and marketing videos for the campus as well as maintenance of all associated documentation in the pre‐production, production, and post‐production stages of the video process (i.e., familiar with Adobe CS6/Premie, etc.) Assists the district Video Support team and the Video Conferencing team as needed


Service Excellence Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision Works under the general supervision of the Coordinator or Manager of Campus Services

Required Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or 60 college hours Four (4) years of experience technical user support or media support Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree At least one year of supervisory experience At least one year’s working experience in dealing with vendors, budget preparation and work schedules Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Creston and Extron equipment Knowledge of advanced computer graphics and computer networking Skilled in using and supporting microcomputers Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships including strong listening, verbal, and written communication Skilled in using computerized platforms and applications, as well as enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization Ability to proactively and independently align objectives, determining if supporting tasks are being completed accurately, timely, and advancing goals Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
