Cancer Registrar
Location: Davenport Cancer Clinic
Schedule: Part time, 20 hours per week - Remote position.
Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Cancer Registrar
The Cancer Registrar works independently and is responsible for the cancer registry, organizing accreditation process activities for the American College of Surgeons cancer program, patient care evaluations, quality improvement activities, cancer conferences, annual report, and community and professional education programs. Ongoing communications with the State Health registry of Iowa is required to maintain appropriate registry data sets and standards based on the SEER (Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results) program of the NCI (National Cancer Institute).
General Requirements:
Education: 2 year college program
Field Of Study: Cancer Registry Management (CRIM) or Cancer Information Management (CIM) from an NCRA accredited program
Special Training: Word processing with a minimum of 60 wpm; spreadsheet applications; medical terminology.
Licensure/Registration: CTR Certification within 24 months
Experience: No experience required.
