Description

The Capability Business Analyst is a part of the Capability team under Digital Marketing which supports and enables our capabilities to achieve objectives of Copeland and subsequent businesses.

The BA will be facilitating multiple business areas to elicit business processes and requirements and to identify improvement opportunities with the goal of implementing new functionality or enhancements to existing systems. As a member of the capability team, you will use analytical skills and tools to document and clarify stakeholder requirements for designing and implementing projects and evaluating technologies. Should be a critical thinker and self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Will serve as liaison between the business and technical teams including any shared services teams, capability team, vendor management team, vendors, development teams, and subject matter experts. This is a business- and technology-facing role, requiring strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills

Duties & Responsibilities

Break down business requirements and technical complexities so that they can be easily understood by developers and business users.Develop, maintain and execute a change management strategy and plan which includes stakeholder management, communications, training, and monitors overall organizational readiness.Project initiation, planning, management, assistance in testing, and implementationAdvocate process changes to business stakeholders and technical professionals to support future-state design process improvements, and new products / platforms.Work with demand lead in evaluation process for new technologies.Provide leadership for the implementation of process improvement opportunities by identifying potential improvements, mapping out process changes, obtaining buy-in and approval, refining requirements and scope, and proactively communicating project capabilities to business leaders, stakeholders, technical professionals, and users.Define and track metrics of capabilities/systems to inform KPIs and process changeShare knowledge through formal discussions and/or presentations to large groups.Vendor and/or 3rd Party coordination and communication related to projects with demand lead.Partner with demand lead for them to better work with vendor management organization to support requests and onboarding.Build change management process moving a “from” state to a new “to” state

Requirements

Basic

Three to five (3-5) years of BA experienceStrong project management skills.Skill in analyzing SaaS (Software as a System) platformsAdvanced computer application skills such as MS Office Applications and other Business Systems and toolsAbility to think strategically/critically and problem solve with commitment to achieving goals.Work mid-shift schedule (3pm-12am) but willing to work on occasional (planned) shifting operations to support the assigned business group.
