Overview:
The Cost Control Engineer will be a crucial member of the Project Control Team, playing a vital role in controlling the project budget, cost, and schedule. The role requires a meticulous understanding of project budgets, cost forecasting, change control management, and comprehensive financial support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget and Cost Management:
Understand project budget and allocation.Support the development, monitoring, and updating of cost forecasts.Change Control:
Assist in developing change control processes.Manage changes, including identification, estimation, review, and negotiation.Contractor and Payment Verification:
Verify the physical works on-site.Review contractors' payments based on the value of work done.Document and Invoice Processing:
Process payment documents, invoices, and intercompany charges.SAP Monitoring:
Conduct monthly checks in SAP with the project cost report to ensure accurate progress booking.Project Financial Close-Out:
Support contractor contract close-out and financial close-out.Capture and maintain data, analyze and classify costs, and prepare close-out reports.Financial Support:
Provide general financial support to the project team for purchase requisition (PR) and purchase order (PO) creation.Ad-Hoc Tasks:
Support any other ad-hoc tasks or small projects as needed.Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor Engineering background either Civil or Mechanical EngineeringThorough understanding of cost control principles.Proficiency with financial software, particularly SAP.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a team.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in cost control and project management, looking to make a significant impact on the success of project initiatives.
