Supporting Private Bankers, you’ll leverage your expertise in sophisticated credit structuring, underwriting, and negotiating to tailor solutions that meet client needs while aligning with CIBC’s risk and business objectives. In this role, you’ll represent CIBC’s credit solutions during client meetings, help develop innovative product offerings, and provide strategic guidance to enhance internal processes and training. You’ll also collaborate with key partners across the organization to grow the business while maintaining healthy portfolio risk metrics. **How you'll succeed** + **Deliver tailored credit solutions:** Support Private Bankers by structuring, analyzing, and recommending credit facilities that align with client needs and CIBC’s risk guidelines. + **Deepen client relationships:** Proactively identify opportunities within client portfolios to expand and strengthen existing relationships. + **Represent CIBC in client meetings** : Attend client meetings with Private Bankers to showcase CIBC’s sophisticated credit capabilities and provide strategic recommendations. + **Drive product innovation:** Develop new product offerings by identifying and defining acceptable collateral types, including real estate, private equity, hedge funds, fine art, and aircraft. + **Enhance internal tools and training:** Build underwriting guidelines, standardize loan documentation, and educate bankers, underwriters, and General Portfolio Managers (GPMs) in partnership with Learning & Development. + **Collaborate across teams:** Build strong relationships with credit officers, banking teams, market managers, region heads, and other key stakeholders to drive business growth. **Who you are** + **Client-focused:** You prioritize understanding and meeting the needs of HNW and UHNW clients with tailored credit solutions. + **Detail-oriented:** You’re skilled in analyzing financial data and structuring complex credit facilities while adhering to risk tolerance and guidelines. + **Collaborative:** You thrive in a team environment and excel at building strong partnerships across multiple teams and business lines. + **Innovative:** You’re passionate about identifying new opportunities and driving product innovation to meet client needs. + **Strategic thinker:** You approach challenges with a forward-thinking mindset and seek opportunities to optimize processes and achieve business goals. **What you need to succeed** + **Experience:** 10+ years of structured lending experience, including underwriting and negotiating large, complex credit facilities backed by diverse collateral types such as real estate, private equity, hedge funds, fine art, and aircraft. + **Expertise:** Strong knowledge of risk management, credit structuring, and portfolio management. + **Leadership:** Proven ability to guide product development and training initiatives, including creating standardized documentation and underwriting guidelines. + **Skills:** Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities. Proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment.
