Summary:
Huntington Bank Capital Markets Associate Director, Syndicated and Leveraged Finance will contribute to the management of Debt Capital Markets Transaction Origination and Execution for covered sectors and banking teams within Huntington, bringing capital markets and industry expertise to the client in collaboration with partners in Banking Coverage, Underwriting, and Credit to lead successful transactions for our clients. Huntington Bank’s new colleague will fully manage the process from creating the client materials for presentations, advising clients or investors on all phases of transactions, and managing analysts and associates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Work with investors on mandated or potential transactions to ensure timelines are met. Create launch materials and prepare for lender meetings. Answer or facilitate answers to due diligence requests
+ Idea generation and creation of client and internal marketing materials for new business, market reads, and materials to effectuate a transaction in process (CIM, Company Presentation, etc) under the strategic direction of senior colleagues
+ Recruit, mentor, and train junior colleagues
+ Drive the creation of management reports on business performance and market dynamics
+ Assist with evaluating and structuring customized financing alternatives for corporate clients
+ Gain hands-on transaction experience by playing an integral role on deal teams from the initial pitch through closing
+ Develop general corporate finance and valuation skills relevant to raising capital, while building a detailed understanding of key developments in the debt and equity capital markets
+ Interact with a broad range of businesses across different industries and with unique capital needs
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or STEM related coursework
+ 5 - 8 years’ experience within Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Lending, Investment Banking, or Corporate Finance
+ FINRA Series 79, 63 or other necessary combination
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Located in or willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC
+ Experience with relevant loan and securities markets
+ 1 or more years of experience in a role requiring leadership and people management skills
+ Ability to motivate, direct and empower team members through ongoing feedback and coaching
+ Strong team player - able to contribute to a team environment that balances individual initiative and team accomplishments
+ Client-centricity – ability to establish rapport with clients so they feel that they have a “personal” relationship with the bank
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Strong financial and computer (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) skills
+ Self-starter / intellectual curiosity, progressive thinker and problem solver, with a strong ability to manage ambiguity/complexity
+ Work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to embrace change, constructively negotiate constraints, and effectively leverage resources to create exceptional outcomes
+ Consistently model and inspire high levels of professional demeanor and integrity
