Overview This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. The Capital Markets Associate is responsible for supporting the Capital Markets team in all elements of deal execution. The role works alongside industry teams to pitch new business and supports a senior member of the team drafting pitch materials including proposals, term sheets, rating agency presentations, lender presentations, confidential information memoranda and other internal and external materials. In addition, the role is responsible for researching and constructing comparable company tables, analyzing recent M&A comps, and providing debt analysis in support of pricing and structuring transactions. Client facing interaction required. May provide training to incoming analysts or new hires. Responsibilities Business Operations - Assists in the syndication effort for the smaller and less complex transactions. Works with team to prepare pricing reviews based on comparable transactions in the bank and capital markets. May participate in negotiations with borrowers and participating banks. Prepares, reviews, and closely follows smaller standardized transactions in the loan syndications and capital markets to spot trends that could affect relative markets in covered regions. Enters information into the systems. Participates in month-end close activities and provides support to systems that includes upgrades, and testing. Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction. May assist in troubleshooting issues and complaints involving internal and external parties. Reporting - Prepares routine standardized reports and entries that projects the Bank's financial position. Identifies and explains variances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Business Support - Works with team(s) to ensure that the platforms are functioning properly to support timely close, and external and internal reporting requirements. Assists with process and system changes and testing including upgrades and updates. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Credit analysis, Underwriting or Risk Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Credit analysis, Underwriting or Risk Management Preferred Bachelor's Degree Business Administration/Finance/Economics Syndications & Capital Markets, Commercial Finance, Commercial Banking experience The base pay for this position is generally between $113,850.00 and $135,00.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
