Our Impact:The Capital Markets Compliance team provides second line oversight of capital markets compliance risks across Freddie Mac’s business divisions.
Your Impact:This individual will support monitoring, controls testing, issues management and remediation, risk assessment and reporting activities. This role will have a broad focus on oversight of the capital markets compliance risks inherent in Single-Family, Multifamily, and Investments and Capital Markets Divisions. Additional responsibilities include:
Conduct compliance risk assessments of capital markets-related obligations, including insider trading laws and regulations;Conduct process, risk and control reviews for first line- and second line-owned business processes, and document results;Perform monitoring and surveillance of internal processes and activities to prevent and detect the flow of material non-public information (MNPI) to Freddie Mac’s traders;Review trading activity for compliance with market manipulation and unfair trade practices laws, rules, and regulations;Perform monitoring and testing related to mortgage-related securities programs, including trust agreement compliance and trustee duties;Document and review written procedures and controls that support the enterprise’s mitigation of securities disclosure, contract compliance, and securities and derivatives trading risks;Support capital markets compliance-related reporting; andCollaborate with Enterprise Risk peers and business division partners to mitigate capital markets risk.Qualifications:College degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or equivalent preferredJ.D. or other graduate degree, preferred5+ years of experience in capital markets, structured finance or securities trading activities, and Compliance, Risk Management or Internal Audit experience, in a bank, broker-dealer or other financial institutionKnowledge and understanding of insider trading-related laws and regulationsFamiliarity with primary and secondary markets activities, financial transactions lifecycle (pre-execution, trade processing, confirmation and settlement), and related oversight activitiesAbility to design and implement monitoring and testing activitiesMeticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsHigh proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to interact with all levels of employees and coordinate across organizational linesKeys to Success in this Role:Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, while also collaborating closely with the teamStrong organizational skillsEfficient management of competing priorities to ensure timely completion of deliverablesCurrent Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $94,000 - $140,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
