Job Description:At Regions, the Capital Markets Insurance Specialist works within the Real Estate Capital Markets Project Finance Group (RECMPF) to ensure timely setup of insurance escrow items and disbursement of funds, and works with agents, borrowers and brokers to ensure compliant coverage is in place as required by investors.
The RECMPF Group is housed within the Capital Markets Group of Regions Bank and provides client-specific off-balance sheet financing solutions through its various Agency Products – Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD.
Primary Responsibilities
Reviews Insurance policies at time of renewal to confirm compliant coverage is in place based on investor’s insurance requirements
Performs reviews of insurance certificates, policies, statement of values and invoices to determine compliance with Investor guidelines
Works with insurance agents/brokers and borrowers to rectify non-compliant coverage issues
Disburses escrow funds for timely payment of insurance premiums
Performs annual insurance escrow analysis
Monitors insurance premium funds for shortages and contact borrowers as appropriate
Timely and accurately boards new loans into the servicing system as it pertains to insurance escrow items
Researches and resolve insurance related borrower inquiries
Identifies and communicates insurance related issues and trends
Resolves insurance exception items within specified time frames
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Two (two) years of insurance experience, including commercial property insurance experience
Skills and Competencies
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
Ability to work independently and responsibly with little supervision and instruction, but also work well in a team-oriented environment
Clear knowledge of Commercial Insurance Coverage –Property, (including Flood, Wind, Earthquake and Terrorism, etc.) and liability
Demonstrated business and professional writing skills
Excellent oral communication and customer service skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Strong math and analytical skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
This position will require daily (M-F) on-site attendance at our downtown Pasadena office.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
